River View Downstairs Terrace Rooms

Holiday Season: $198. Rest of the year: $138

Located on the ground floor, Downstairs Terrace Rooms face the Tortuguero River and have the advantage that you don’t have to climb 15 steps to get to your room.

Rooms have almost as much window space as wall space; all windows are screened, they do not have glass allowing guests to listen to the sounds of the rainforest. Rooms do not have air conditioning. These rooms have a tile floor, a standard height ceiling and are slightly less breezy than the Upstairs Rooms. Multiple bedding configurations are available.

All rooms have a private shower with solar heated hot water, a ceiling fan, in-room safe, alarm clock, free wireless internet, hair dryer, two in-room wicker chairs and a small table.

Each room has a front porch sitting area and hammock.

River View Upstairs Balcony Rooms

Holiday Season: $228. Rest of the year: $168

Located on the second floor (15 steps), Upstairs Balcony Rooms face the Tortuguero River.

Upstairs Rooms have almost as much window space as wall space; all windows are screened, they do not have glass allowing guests to listen to the sounds of the rainforest. Rooms do not have air conditioning. These rooms have a wooden floor, a high ceiling and on most days, a nice breeze flowing through the room. Multiple bedding configurations are available.

All rooms have a private shower with solar heated hot water, a ceiling fan, in-room safe, alarm clock, free wireless internet, hair dryer, two in-room wicker chairs and a small table

Each room has a front porch sitting area and hammock.

River View Downstairs Junior Suite
Available Starting July 15^th

Holiday Season: $268. Rest of the year: $198.

Located on the ground floor, the River View Downstairs Junior Suites face the Tortuguero River.

Your suite has twice as much floor space and much more window space than either our Upstairs or Downstairs River View Rooms. Junior Suites have floor to ceiling river view windows; all windows are screened, they do not have glass allowing guests to listen to the sounds of the rainforest. Junior Suites do not have air conditioning.

These suites have a tile floor, a standard height ceiling and on most days, at least as much breeze as the Upstairs Rooms and more breeze than the Downstairs Rooms. These Suites have a connecting door to the companion Junior Suite.

Junior Suites have one king bed or two single beds, and a deluxe bathroom with twin sinks.

Each Junior Suite has solar heated hot water, in-room safe, alarm clock, free wireless internet connection, hair dryer, ceiling fan, indoor living area with comfortable sofa and two chairs, a quiet balcony with a rainforest view and a front porch with sitting area and hammock.

River View Penthouse Suite

Holiday Season: $328. Rest of the year: $238

Located on the second floor (15 steps), the Penthouse Suite faces the Tortuguero River from a three quarter wrap around porch.

The Penthouse Suite has as much window space as wall space; all windows are screened, they do not have glass allowing guests to listen to the sounds of the rainforest. The Penthouse does not have air conditioning. The suite has a wooden floor, a high ceiling and on most days a nice breeze flowing through the room.

The Penthouse has one king bed with private master bathroom and one queen bed also with its own private shower. These two sleeping areas are separated by gauze curtains that can be opened or closed.

The suite has solar heated hot water, in-room safe, alarm clock, free wireless internet connection, hair dryer, four ceiling fans, indoor living areas with comfortable wicker furniture, a quiet balcony overlooking the rainforest with two wicker chairs and a front porch with a view of the Tortuguero River with a hammock and seating area.

Important Note: Tortuga Lodge & Gardens is a NON-SMOKING lodge. If guests wish to smoke, the only place this can be done is in designated areas outdoors.
